Description:
Our client, a leader in the Protein Industry, is seeking an exceptional individual to join their team as an Inside Sales Representative. The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for leading sales efforts across the country, managing key accounts, and developing strategic relationships with major clients. This position will cover both CPG/Grocery and Foodservice. The position is located in the Greater Boise, Idaho area.
This role requires a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of the Food Industry and a proven track record in sales. The position will play a critical role in shaping sales strategy and driving business growth in the company’s major brands.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain and grow current account relationships, at all levels of partnerships
- Daily communication with customers to negotiate branded and spot sales
- Create account strategies to increase sales
- Convey market information to customers
- Maintain an outstanding customer service level
- Periodically review accounts with customers to ensure satisfaction and capture opportunities for improvement
- Order entry
- Price negotiation for spot and long-term sales
- Maintain Customer records
- Communicate changing account conditions with sales management
- Prospect for new customers
- Work with accounts receivable team to ensure account balances are current
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements:
- 3-5 years of proven success in sales and obtaining contracts with customers
- Ability to negotiate both long and short-term contracts with customers for the best possible return and service level
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
- 3+ years in the Protein Industry, preferably the boxed beef segment
- 3+ years’ experience in both foodservice and retail
- Familiarity with order entry, price negotiations, marketing programs/accruals, and contract decisions to achieve sales goals and marketing initiatives per budget
- Ability to analyze internal and external factors (beef/protein markets competitive pricing, market trends, etc.) and develop a sales plan to capitalize on opportunities
- Ability to speak effectively in individual or group situations; able to provide high-impact presentations to all levels of an organization
- Able to proactively and efficiently address customer needs and priorities
- Proven track record of being highly motivated and working without immediate supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills-no fear of the phone
- High standard of integrity to build trust with all clients and levels within an organization
- Ability and proven record of establishing effective working relationships with customers and internal team members
- Wiling and excited about the opportunity to travel throughout the year

$80,000.00-$110,000.00
