Our client is seeking an experienced innovative Sales Manager Regional Foodservice to join their team.  The position covers the Rocky Mountain Region of the U.S. Qualified candidates ideally currently reside in the Greater Phoenix, Salt Lake, or Denver area markets.

The Sales Manager Regional Foodservice is responsible for management and development of operators, distributors, and brokers in their defined geography.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Achieve sales target for assigned markets, meet or exceed sales budget
  • Identify cultivate and secure new business with new operators, through existing operator penetration, and distributor development
  • Effectively manage existing and prospective operator relationships across a variety of roles with influence in, or direct responsibility for, decisions related to company products
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews to ensure operator and company alignment with evolution of operator business, menu development and changes, and that contract terms and conditions are being met
  • Regularly review performance for assigned Brokers and Distributors.
  • Establish regular communication and meeting cadence to review performance, address mutual opportunities for growth, and establish next steps with deliverables and target dates
  • Work cross-functionally to secure new business, penetrate existing accounts and increase account retention
  • Work with operators to submit forecasts including needed updates to ensure accuracy in business planning
  • Regular review of sales reporting to identify and address business trends
  • Manage customer pricing including rebates and accruals
  • Be an avid student of the industry staying current on market activity, product knowledge and competitive landscape
  • Drive strategic sales growth
  • Must have a passion for food, customer service, and strong work ethic that promotes a positive company image, and work collaboratively with both internal and external customers

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 5+ years sales experience in the Foodservice Industry with a demonstrated track record of success in the areas including:
    • Foodservice Distribution
    • Managing Broker Networks
    • Selling Fresh Food, perishables, produce, and fresh beverage products
    • Selling manufacturer label, private label, and proprietary products
  • In-depth-knowledge of selling strategies and methods
  • 3+ years effectively using a CRM to manage sales pipeline and related activities
  • Self-starter with strong problem-solving, process management, communication, and relationship building skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong working knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and as a strong contributor within functional area
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong attention to detail
  • 50% travel required
  • Position covers the Rocky Mountain Region (AZ, NM, NV, UT, CO, ID, MT) and ideal candidates live in the Greater Phoenix, Salt Lake, or Denver markets

Salary Range:

$85,000.00-$135,000.00
