Description:
Our client, a distinguished leader in the Frozen Dough Industry, is seeking a Director of Sales-West to join their sales team.
The Director of Sales will lead new business for National Foodservice and Retail accounts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- The Director of Sales will lead the company’s efforts to maintain and expand relationships with large, multi-unit customers
- The position is responsible for achieving sales quota and strategic account objectives
- Responsible for the attainment of volume and profit objectives within the Foodservice and Retail Channels
- The position is required to develop short-and-long term customer strategies with key accounts
- Identify and develop new business opportunities for National Food Service and Retail Chain accounts
- Develop a strategic partnership with key customers above the buyer level
- Build long-term relationships with customers, brokers, and distributors
- Responsible for annual sales budget for targeted accounts
- Clear and direct communication with multiple inter-company departments including marketing, QA, customer service, and R&D
- Manage projects with the R&D team to expedite special projects for new business development
- Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis
- Utilize current book of business for foodservice and/or grocery retail accounts for immediate introduction
- Ability to develop, plan, and implement short-term and long-term goals
- Demonstrate, promote, and exemplify company’s core values
Qualifications and Requirements:
- 3-5+ year’s sales experience within the Foodservice Industry, preferably within food sales, brokers, and regional accounts, and selling premium branded products
- Experienced B2B salesperson with a successful track record as a commissioned “hunter”
- Sales background in bakery, dough products is preferred, but not required
- National and/or Chain Account Management experience is required
- Possess an existing network of contacts in the Foodservice Industry that includes an extensive list of chain account decision-makers
- Proven sales in new business development and strategic selling
- Functional competencies include selling, negotiating, financial management, inventory management, leveraging insights, listening, and time management
- Entrepreneurial, but skilled in business decision-making and problem solving
- Strong project management abilities, capable of prioritizing and handling multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and organizational skills
- Proficient in computer software and programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce, and Linkedin
- Candidate must currently reside in and work in the Foodservice and Retail-Western U.S. markets
- Bachelor’s degree
- Position is Remote and candidate must currently reside anywhere west of the Rockies.

Salary:
$85,000.00 plus commissions
