Description:

Our client, a dominate player in the Specialty Food Distribution space, is seeking a dynamic individual to join their team as Product Line & Portfolio Manager.

The Product Line & Portfolio Manager is responsible for concept development, market research, and project management from concept through launch of the product.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 Concept Development:

  • Generate innovative product ideas and concepts that align with business objectives, brand strategy, and customer preferences
  • Defining product vision and strategy in alignment with business objectives and market trends
  • Implementing agile methodologies and best practices to enhance product development processes 

Market Research:

  • Conducting market research to identify customer needs, product opportunities, identify trends, and competitive landscape to inform product development

Documentation:

  • Overseeing the sourcing, validation, and market testing phases to ensure product specifications are met
  • Maintain comprehensive records of product development processes

Collaboration:

  • Leading and coordinating cross-functional teams throughout the product development lifecycle
  • Collaborating with, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to optimize product quality and availability
  • Working with marketing and sales teams to develop go to-market strategies and product positioning

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure all products meet food safety regulations and labeling requirements
  • Product testing-Coordinate and conduct sensory evaluations, consumer testing, and product demonstrations to gather feedback and refine products

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 3+ years Product & Line Development/Launch in the Retail food space REQUIRED
  • 3+ years food sourcing/procurement REQUIRED 
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Culinary product development a plus
  • Strong understanding of food trends, culinary techniques, and product formulation
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with product development software is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams is a must
  • 25% travel
  • Candidate must reside in the Greater Seattle, WA area

 

Salary Range:

$120,000.00-$160,000.00
